  1. I like these a lot. I've been meaning to try some inscribed decoration under my slips for ages, you've inspired me to try it next week.

  2. Awesome! I'll be looking for'em. When I do the lines on leatherhard I use an engraving tool I used in art school. I use a pin tool on the fresh clay.

  3. I wonder how it'll work with my gritty clay, whether it'll snag on the bigger gritty bits. I guess it's as you describe, a case of finding the right tool and hitting the clay at the right stage - I'll give it a go on Monday

  4. Those look great Michael, it will be nice to see the alkaline glaze over them.

  5. Hey Ron, raining there today? There seems to be a bird thing going on at your place and mine too. I'll try to dig up a picture of the chickens for you. see ya,

  6. Thanks for the comments, fellows. Doug I think you will find that it doesn't take a lot of digging. I think you'll be alright if you don't go too deep. Especially after you let a fresh coat of slip settle in , then go for it. Well, I'm not telling you anything you don't know.I'll be curious to see what you come up with. see ya, Michael
